Life with your best friend isn’t turning out how you thought it would.

Maybe they’re too afraid to step outside. Maybe when they do, they bark at everything and everyone. Maybe guests aren’t comfortable in your home, maybe your dog has even bitten someone. Whatever it is, this isn’t the life you dreamed of.

But you’re here. You know a better life is out there and you’re committed to making that happen.

Here’s how we can do that together:

Step 1: Consultation

90 minutes $225 In Person or Virtual

All training starts with a consultation. The first step in creating a specialized training plan is figuring out what motivates your dog’s undesirable behavior and how to motivate them to make better choices. While by psychological  definition punishment works (Insert definition link/hover?), it does not typically address the reason for your dog acting out in the first place. Like many of us our dogs live in a stressful and confusing world that is sometimes just too damn much to handle.

During the consultation I observe your dog and learn from you. We discuss a wide range of topics such as your lifestyle, goals, daily struggles, or your dog’s favorite napping spot. With this holistic picture of your lives I can put together the right plan and skill set to help you and your dog. As we wrap up the consultation you will receive  guidance on reducing immediate stress in your life and a general training plan. Afterwards you will receive a behavior summary and comprehensive training plan.

Step 2: Lessons

1 hour each $150 In Person or Virtual

The first lesson typically centers on developing necessary skills to turn you and your dog into the ultimate training team. developing your understanding of your dog’s person body language vocabulary, how to mark a behavior (insert link/definition) so that your dog learns more quickly what it is that you actually want them to do, and quick and easy homework to help you and your dog get on the same page.

With you and your dog synced up we build foundation skills like Sit, Place, or Touch. (Insert video links to each!). However, these skills alone don’t resolve behavior problems like fear, resource guarding, or biting. Your dog has to choose to perform these alternative behaviors. As lessons progress we guide and motivate your dog through using these skills in increasingly challenging and realistic lessons. Can your dog stay on their bed when you open the door? What about when I walk in? As you and your dog practice using these skills in more real life situations new patterns of behavior are being built.  As these new patterns of behavior become normal you and your dog navigate life with more comfort and ease.

Step 3: Graduation

Priceless

I joke that I never want to see any of my clients again - because that means I did my job well! You don’t need me anymore, you have the  confidence, knowledge, skill, and practice to go through life with joy.

Whether that means relaxing walks, weekly game nights, or a much needed vacation, this new life with your dog feels good.
